One of the things that you can do to make your room more attractive to potential customers is to have high quality ballroom chairs and tables. It may seem like a little thing, but it can make a big difference. With comfortable chairs that match the table, you can be sure that the people who come to the event will be able to focus on the festivities rather than on the furniture in the room.

You will also want to be able to rearrange the tables and chairs to accommodate each customer’s needs. Some may need to have more room for a dance floor or for their entertainment. So far I have discussed ways for creating family oriented and kids friendly restaurants, but one thing I have yet to mention is that some of the most loyal customers you will have are the seniors who frequent your restaurant. Many times, they will return to a place time and again when they enjoy the food and the service. If you have a nice and clean establishment and restaurant seating that is comfortable for seniors, they will return. They will usually bring their friends along with them too, and that means better business for you. It is true that the seniors often have greater demands than other restaurant goers have, and they may be more adamant in those demands. However, their loyalty can outweigh their needs. You should reward their loyalty with early bird specials and senior discounts.

When you are trying to come up with some specials that can entice the seniors to come into your place, consider the things that they already enjoy. The early bird special is popular and many restaurants have it. The reason it is so popular for restaurant owners is because it works. Offer a discount for seniors who come in and order early. Take a few days to note the habits and the times that most of the seniors come into your restaurant. Changing Up the Menu and the Seating for Restaurant Success

If your restaurant is having trouble getting business, it isn’t the end of the world, and it certainly isn’t the end of your business. You have to take a look at how you are doing things and see if there might be something that you can change. Even some small changes can get the excitement building about your restaurant and bring more people into it. Let’s look at a couple of things that you can do that might be able to breathe more life into your restaurant.

The Seating

You might not even realize that there is something amiss in your restaurant until you look at it from the perspective of a customer. You are concerned with the day to day operations, and you never see that perhaps the seating and tables aren’t up to par. If you have tables with uneven legs, or that are too small (or even too large), or if your chairs aren’t comfortable, it can cause problems. No one wants to be cramped or uncomfortable when they are trying to enjoy a meal. Rearrange the tables if you have to. Also, investing in some high quality restaurant chairs and tables can be a great idea if you can find it in the budget.

The Seating in Your Restaurant Makes the Difference

Let’s pretend that you are not a restaurant owner or manager for a few minutes. Let’s imagine that you just moved to a new city and you are looking forward to trying out a restaurant that serves your favorite food. So you head over to the place for dinner one night with your spouse. The atmosphere seems warm and inviting, and then the pleasant host takes you to your table.

On your way to the table, you notice that everything seems cramped. The tables are too close together. Once you sit down, you find out that the chairs aren’t comfortable at all. After a long day at work, you wanted to be able to find a nice comfy place to have dinner, but the chair is worse than the one you have in your cubicle.

By the time the appetizer arrives, you are already complaining to your spouse about the chair. You barely register the taste of the appetizer. It might have been good, but you just don’t care. When the food arrives, you are even more uncomfortable. People trying to get past your table have bumped and jostled you half a dozen times and almost spilled your wine. You don’t care much about how your food tastes. Once it is all over, you head home and write a negative review about the restaurant online. And only because of the restaurant seating.

Kids Friendly Restaurant

Today when people are busy working all day long they feel like they have less time to spend as a family during the work week. This is why many families like to go out with their children for dinner. This way they are saving time preparing the meal at home and spending it with the kids while also letting the kids have a fun outing as a family.

But this means that the restaurants they choose to visit must be kids friendly.

So, what things would be found in a restaurant that was family oriented?

Firstly, ask yourself what would a family expect to get in such a restaurant.  What kind of seating outlay would there be?  It would have to have plenty of space in between the table, chairs and booths so that the parents can move freely between their place and their children. Also kids like to run around and move from place to place so needs to taken into account as well. And don’t have floors with carpets, it will get way too dirty. However if kids are able to freely run around then a soft  indoor-outdoor carpet should be used, as that is very easy to clean.

This is where the seating outlay would come in.  Try to plan out where the seating will go before putting anything in the place.  There should be a section for big families with loud kids and ones that are small and quiet.  Also think about using restaurant booths for a kid friendly atmosphere.  A mix of dining booths and restaurant chairs and tables is the optimal idea when trying to cater to a mixed crowed.
